VIRTUAL Parent Survey for Community Outreach (PSCO): June 21 - 25, 2021

Healthy Families Virginia, in partnership with Families Forward Virginia, presents virtual Parent Survey for Community Outreach (PSCO) Core training. The Parent Survey for Community Outreach training is required for all program staff who will administer the parent survey. Supervisors and Program Managers are also required to attend. The training focuses on building skills to engage parents in the parent survey process, learning how to gather comprehensive information from parents related to their strengths and needs using a conversational style, and obtaining guided practice from a certified user to ensure the tool is administered in a standardized and reliable manner. 

Training for all participants is from Monday, June 21 through Friday, June 25, 2021. This training is VIRTUAL and involves a combination of live sessions and self-directed activities. Participants will be required to join live sessions with a webcam; additional information regarding the virtual format and schedule will be emailed to attendees prior to the training. The trainer facilitating the course is Laura Shoaf. Cost for this training is $540 per person. The required training manual is included in the registration cost and will be mailed to participants. 

Supervisors and Managers will also complete an additional Supervisor Core training; this training will be conducted on Wednesday, July 7 AND Friday, July 9, 2021 from 9:00am - 12:00 pm each day. Attendance at BOTH days is required to complete the training. Separate registration, including a $50 fee for the training and manual, is required.
