Which internet browsers can I use to access the Institute?
The Institute is supported by Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome. Please use these browsers for the best experience.
How do I register for an Institute account?
Sign up for an Institute account, or visit the Institute homepage and click the "Sign Up" button.
Do I have to pay for my Institute account or modules?
No, accounts with the Institute are free, just like the Institute modules. There are costs associated with Continuing Education Units, College Credits, and certain Events.
How do I reset my password?
Visit the homepage, click on Sign In, in the top right-hand corner. Near the bottom of the page click Forgot your password?
Why am I not getting the password reset email?
When you reset your password, an automatic email is sent to the email you have on file with the Institute. The email will come from noreply@institutefsp.org.

Is the National Core Competency Framework compatible with my organization's training plan?
Each organization has their own training plan. Please check with your organization to see if the National Core Competency Framework aligns with your organization.
Is there a National Competency Framework for Supervisors?
Yes, the Institute now has a National Supervisor Competency Framework.
Do I have to be signed in to complete modules?
Yes, you must be signed in to complete modules. Sign in to your account or sign up for your free Institute account, if you have not already done so.
Why isn't the module loading?

Why can't I see the resources linked in the module?
Please ensure that your pop-up blocker is not blocking the resources in the Institute. Contact your organization's IT department for how they suggest you safely enable pop-ups.
Do you offer modules in different languages?
At this time, Institute modules are only offered in English.
I took several modules, why don't I have completion certificates?
You must be logged in to complete Institute modules. On each module page, you should be able to view the date you completed the module and click "Download your Certificate of completion." If you do not see this option, go back into the module and make sure you clicked through to the last slide in the module.

Yes, you can earn CEUs and College Credit for completing Institute modules!
What is the Career Compass?
The Career Compass is your learning roadmap in the Institute. The Career Compass is based on the National Family Support Competency Framework. Please use the Career Compass Map and the Using the Career Compass video below to find out how to use the Career Compass.

Where do I find my Transcripts?
You can find your Transcripts by clicking Hi Your Name, clicking on Your Account,then clicking on My Transcripts.
How do I Share My Progress with my supervisor?
You can share your progress with anyone who has an Institute account. Click Hi Your Name then click on Share My Progress. Enter the email address of the person you want to share progress with, then click "Submit." You can also see a list of the people you've shared progress on the Share My Progress page.
How do I view another Institute learner's progress?
The learner will have to visit Share My Progress (see above) and enter your email address. To see who has shared progress with you, Click Hi Your Name then click on Shared with Me. Note: this email address must be the one you have on file with the Institute.
