VIRTUAL: Adult Mental Health Learning Lab (6/25/2024 & 6/26/2024: Virginia Home Visitors Only)

This training is TWO sessions and will take place on June 25th AND 26th from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Once registration is closed and attendees are confirmed, the Zoom link and password will be provided via email. The Adult Mental Health Learning Lab is designed to further support professional development for family support professionals in working with families who are experiencing perinatal depression and/or other mental health challenges. This virtually facilitated learning lab can be attended after individuals have completed Adult Mental Health Part One and Adult Mental Health Part Two trainings online through the Institute.
This learning lab will provide home visitors and home visiting supervisors with a review of adult mental health content, as well as information on active listening, observing for mental health challenges, the importance and role of screening, and identifying and responding to mental health crises. Individuals who attend the learning lab are encouraged to bring their own case scenarios for use in the activities (however these scenarios must be written down ahead of time using the case scenario template attached to this event). Please print and/or have the attached handouts available.
This training is intended for staff who maintain a caseload and have been in their position for at least 9 months, or for supervisors.
- Note: You only need to bring one screening tool, please bring the tool that you use for screening at your program.
- If for any reason you cannot attend this training ahead of the specified date, please cancel your registration or email sshelton@earlyimpactva.org prior to the start time.
