Hampton: Working with Pregnant & Parenting Teens (May 23, 2024)

MAY 23, 2024
9:00 am EDT

As a home visitor, it is important to understand how to work with pregnant and parenting teens in a culturally competent, developmentally appropriate and engaging way. This training offers information on pregnancy statistics, health inequities, progression of adolescent development, mental health and self-care considerations for an adolescent and an opportunity to incorporate best practices into your work with adolescents and emerging adults. Providers will receive practical ways to conceptualize and implement interventions geared toward pregnant and parenting teens.
This training is intended for staff who maintain a caseload and have been in their position for at least 3 months, or for supervisors.

Early Impact Virginia has a strict no-show policy in order to continue providing trainings at no cost to home visiting programs in the Commonwealth. If for any reason you cannot attend this training ahead of the specified date, please cancel your registration or email sshelton@earlyimpactva.org prior to the start time.
